![]() Hope this helps solve the problem for the time being. When i uncheck the "verify origin" it starts working. ![]() Unfortunately, there is a security bug in this widget that may result in 'Invalid domain for site key' errors for patrons who are using the Librarys off-campus proxy server. I’m unable to login as Admin in order to change the reCaptcha secret and site keys. During periods of high usage, Google Scholar may begin asking Montclair State University patrons to fill out a reCAPTCHA widget to prove theyre not robots. ![]() I think in this case google is checking the server but it is identifying as shared server name and not my domain. I’m the site owner and now logging into: domain/wp-login.php I get the dreaded ERROR for site owner: Invalid site key. I am on a shared hosting and just was transferred without notice from Liquidweb to Deluxehosting(as the former sold their share hosting to the latter) and have been having such problems with many issues. I think this has to do with way the server is setup. I went to and clicked on the domain and then went to key settings at the bottom.Ĭlicked on save and captcha started working. I ran into this error because I'm using the same key on a few different domains and I had forgotten to add one of the domains to the key.Īfter adding my site it took a minute or two (most likely because of cache) for things to work normally again. And this now works with all my sub-domains as well without having to explicitly specify them in the recaptcha admin area. My resolution was to delete the key that was not working and got a new key for my domain. I noticed our website isn't referenced in the first point "Get your site-key for." like it is in your example screenshot. In case someone has a similar issue. Go to Click Get reCAPTCHA at the top right. The begin, you will need to create a reCAPTCHA account. try to register now using the newly created sitekey. If you are getting the error 'Invalid domain for site key' also seen below, then follow the steps below to create a new captcha key with your correct domain. ![]() simply click this url that will create the sitekey automatically using the correct domain name.Ĥ. So I deleted it and created a new but got the same error.ģ. When I tried to add the key again I got this message "Invalid site key for the current site".
